Mark your calendars – September 29, 2012
Join Innovapost and Make-A-Wish® of Eastern Ontario for the 5th annual Innovapost Share the Power of a Wish® Walk/Run on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Ottawa City Hall. Once again, we are welcoming participants to walk or run a 1km, 5km or 10km route along the picturesque Rideau Canal in support of Make-A-Wish® of Eastern Ontario.
Registration and race details will be coming shortly. We promise plenty of fun all day including children activities, face painting, clowns and bouncy castles, live music and a free picnic lunch for event participants.
Big Goals!
This year, Innovapost and Make-A-Wish® of Eastern Ontario hope to attract 1000 participants and grant 10+ Wishes to Make-A-Wish children facing life-threatening conditions.
2011 Accomplishments
We couldn’t have asked for a better day on May 7 to hold our 4th annual Share the Power of a Wish® Walk/Run. Innovapost and Make-A-Wish employees and organizers, their families, and hundreds of participants were treated to a sunny day. With the help of our sponsors, Innovapost outperformed both the 2010 and 2011 target ($100K) by raising an amazing $157,000, granting upwards of 15 wishes!
The event’s overwhelming success included participation from 84 Innovapost employees and their families, corporate teams from Fisher Scientific made up of 45 of their employees, over 50 students from 3 school teams (St. Laurent Academy, Embrun Elementary, Maniwaki Elementary) and hundreds of Ottawa area residents as well as people from Edmonton, Toronto, Newfoundland, and New Jersey!
We would like to thank everyone who participated in some way, before or during this event, and for contributing to this great cause!

The mission of Make-A-Wish® Eastern Ontario is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario is a part of the largest wish-granting organization in the world and can be found in over 36 countries on five continents. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America grants the wishes of children in the United States, Guam and Puerto Rico through its 65 chapters, while Make-A-Wish Foundation® International serves children outside the United States in over 36 countries on five continents. With the help of generous donors and over 30,000 volunteers, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has granted more than 250,000 wishes worldwide since inception.
Along with the national office, seven regional chapters grant magical wishes to children in need across Canada.
