What inspired this event and how did it begin?
Innovapost is a proud supporter of Make-a-Wish® Eastern Ontario and their dedication to bring hope and happiness to children with life-threatening medical conditions. In 2008, a small team of Innovapost employees received a call to action from their CEO, Brendan Timmins. “Create an event that raises money for families and children in need through active participation.
From this call, Innovapost founded an event that began as a picnic and fun-run with 50 people in 2008, to an organized walk/run in 2010 with 700 people and over $110,000 raised to support Make-A-Wish® Eastern Ontario. On May 7, 2011, Innovapost’s ‘Share the Power of a Wish Walk/Run’ hopes to surpass last year’s achievement by raising enough money to grant 10 wishes.
How can I learn more about Make-A-Wish®?
